Application Management Solutions Ltd worked alongside The Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) to implement a new stable and secure Citrix environment which is used to deliver all applications to the entire user base. This enabled RCGP to centralise the application delivery infrastructure on the vSphere hypervisor which significantly improved user productivity and service availability compared to the existing environment.

The Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) is a membership body of family doctors committed to delivering excellence in general practice and patient care, in the UK and overseas. RCGP work tirelessly to improve the education and training of the GPs to improve patient care.

The Challenge

Due to substantial growth there was a requirement for RCGP to create a stable and secure environment with which to provide it’s users all business applications. Their previous infrastructure model was insufficient and impacting upon the overall business productivity, therefore, an upgrade of their infrastructure was required to mirror their business growth.
